Our first
season on the River was incredible and exceeded our expectations in EVERY way.
One week from today we will ride
into the sun and take our next trip that will keep us traveling on the water
for about 2+ months. We will leave Kenlake
Marina in Northwest Kentucky on
Thursday, August 9 and start our trip to Knoxville, TN with the intent of arriving there before the first home UT football game on Saturday, September 8. This trip will take us south on the Tennessee River, east through Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, then back north through Chattanooga to Knoxville. We will travel 594 miles, thru 8 locks/dams and stopping for the night(s) at 14 different marinas. We cannot wait to see the scenery as we hear it is "like no other" and is the most gorgeous place on earth. We'll definitely post pictures for you to see along the way.

We plan to arrive in downtown
Knoxville by the end of August and take a few days on land to celebrate our
40th wedding anniversary Labor Day Weekend.
The fun continues as we get ready
to experience Vol Navy and the hundreds of boats that are die-hard UT football
fans. It will surely be something to see. Maybe "what
happens at Vol Navy stays at Vol Navy" will be the new motto.....not for
our actions, but for the actions we see and hear of others!!!! Stay tuned

We will spend about a week
traveling all the waters in northeast Tennessee before we head back another 594
miles to our home marina at Kenlake in Kentucky.
